Wired or wireless cameras the saga continues

Many of our callers call up and say they want a wireless security camera system. What they do not realize is that there are many disadvantages to having a wireless system.

One disadvantage of having a wireless security camera system is that the video transmission is not guaranteed. Many things interfere with a wireless signal. A cordless telephone system that is on the same frequency as your wireless transmitter can interfere with your signal. Wireless internet can interfere with your cameras as well. The amount of walls in between the receiver and the transmitter and what’s inside the walls plays into this too.

Those were just a few of the things that can cause interference in your wireless camera system.  Not to mention the distance from camera to dvr, the quality and strength of the receiver and transmitter and other things as well. Not to mention that the camera still needs to have a wire run for the power. What problems have you had with your wireless system?

New Line of High-tech Hidden Cameras

Our new line of wireless hidden cameras offer the ability to keep hidden cameras outside without the need to be connected to a power supply.

This line of hidden cameras has many different high-tech features. It has advanced motion detection called pir detection. Pir detection detects body heat and tells the camera to start recording.

Another major feature is they have the ability to have a 32 gb SD card for extended memory storage. Most hidden cameras come with 2gb or 4gb sd card. They also incorporate a low battery drain feature that allows the cameras to last almost a year in dormant mode without the need for a recharge. They also come with an ir remote control to the level of led intensity.

These are the more expensive hidden cameras as they have more capabilities to perform what you need done.

Choosing the best bnc connectors

Personally I think the best type of bnc connectors are “two piece compression fitted” bncs.  There are many benefits to using these type of bncs. Many security camera installers use crimp on or twist on bncs.

When using a compression fitted bnc it is a much tighter connection onto the rg59 or rg6 cable. You can literally pull on the cable and the bnc and they will not become disconnected. When moving the dvr or messing with the connections you will have little or no video disturbance.

Many installers use twist on or crimp on because they have never used compression fitted bncs before. You also have to have the correct tool and know how to use it.

Counter-Surveillance Training

I recently went to a training seminar on counter-surveillance products held by Research Electronics International. This seminar was held at the Hilton in East Brunswick.

Research Electronics International (REI) is a leader in manufacturing high-end counter-surveillance equipment. This seminar provided an overview of wiretapping on telephone lines and an overview of all major bugs. They discussed most of the products they sell that aids in finding of a listening device/bug.

A bug can be many made many different ways. A bug can be made in a way that is only detectable by one type of bug detector. If your corporate security is at risk it is definitely in you best interest to hire a professional company that conducts bug sweeps. There are many companies that claim they do bug sweeps but you must be careful on exactly which company you choose. If you would like a solid reference feel free to contact me for a couple of good companies. You can call Deren at 800-971-3398 and reference this blog.

Are you a bug sweeping company? If so, please share your thoughts and experiences on some basic tips on how to keep your corporate information safe.

Welcome to the Official Security Systems Blog

Hello,

My name is Deren Michael and I am the President of Official Security Systems. My business is security cameras, hidden cameras, spy equipment, gps tracking devices, referral security services & counter-surveillance services and most things related. The majority of my business is installing security cameras at hotels, warehouses, buildings, offices and homes in NJ. At the same time I still sell all security related products on my e-commerce site www.officialqualityproducts.com.

My main goal is to allow businesses and people  to view what is going on when they are not there & feel safe & secure. It is very important to be able to see what happened at your office yesterday if you were not there. I offer that ability in the form of security camera systems, alarm systems and access control systems. For more information about installation of security camera systems & alarm systms please visit my website www.securitysystemnj.com.

My e-commerce portion of the business is mostly hidden cameras. Hidden cameras have a wide range of applications. Most people purchasing hidden cameras want to be able to see what is happening when a caretaker is taking care of their mother or father. People want to see what the nanny is really doing that they hired to watch their new baby. Last but not least people want to see what their children are doing while they are at work or not at home.
